This book is really not for the fainthearted, its tough and gritty with hard to digest details about the torture that humans can inflict upon other poor souls. Vanished is the story of how Sam Wren vanishes without a trace after boarding a Tube train to work. 3rd book in the David Raker series which I’m beginning in the middle like always but it didn’t spoil the thriller in any way except for maybe the background info about the past case where Healy, the detective from MET is also involved. The ending gave me an electrifying jolt and if I hadn’t seen other books in the series I would have been very disappointed. When you read such hard to digest books, I always wish for some positive hopeful ending if not, the negativity can affect me badly. The ending was perfect for this book but somehow the imagination just left me feeling hollow. Love to continue this series!
