Ok looks like Halloween fever is still ON for me💀 Another one in the Gothic romance category with a touch of fantasy element to it. Both H/h have extra sensory characteristics which made the story very interesting.

Nicolette has the gift of healing and is protected by the villagers where she grew up but after a meeting with the Don Scarletti she’s selected as his bride and of course there’s all the heroine running away and the hero bringing back, and the all-knowing hero controlling the heroine, the regular things that one expects from stories of this genre but the mystery part of the story was excellent and kept me absorbed.

This is another author whom I am trying for the first time and I loved her writing style and the gargoyle filled mansion.

P.S: I just realized when reading this that the word DON has come to represent the mafia boss at least for me after watching all those Godfather movies when in fact it is an honorific prefix used in many parts of the world.
