Last of the Magpies: The Thrilling Conclusion to The Magpies by Mark Edwards

Last of the Magpies: The Thrilling Conclusion to The Magpies (Kindle Single)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finally the Last of Magpies!

12 months after the events of ‘A Murder of Magpies’, Jamie is still unable to move on with his life, knowing that Lucy Newton, his nemesis is free and the police are unable to track her down. DI Imogen a character from another book by Mark Edwards makes an appearance advising Jamie to get on with life. Kirsty meanwhile has taken up martial arts and yoga, attending therapy and sessions to overcome her arachnophobia.
Jamie soon finds help in Emma Fox who runs a crime podcast in his search for Lucy. Things definitely takes a twisty and dramatic turn as old friends return and the story torpedoes into a ripping and impressive climax.

I would recommend reading the whole series in order so that you don’t miss out on a single detail of this brilliant thriller.

Blurb

Twelve months ago, Jamie Knight walked straight into Lucy Newton’s trap. Both Jamie and his ex-wife Kirsty barely survived. Now, with the police investigation into Lucy’s disappearance going nowhere, Jamie teams up with a true crime podcaster to track down his nemesis.

But can Jamie persuade Kirsty to help? Can Kirsty forgive him for his past mistakes? And who, if anyone, will survive the final showdown? Featuring extracts from Lucy’s secret memoir, Last of the Magpies brings the trilogy to a shocking conclusion.
