My rating: 4.5 of 5 stars

I have been on roll this month with few first-time authors whose books have all worked out wonderfully well. Samantha Young’s There With You is an absolute cracker brimming with intense emotions and unbridled passion so much that I felt that the sexy chemistry between the central characters was just leaping out of the pages.

First off, I want to thank Samantha Young for making Reagan a lover of historical romances and justifying her love for it, and secondly, for giving her the strength to fight off the stalker and not wait for a hero rescue. YES, There With You is perfectly good to be read as a stand-alone but I would advise you to read from the beginning as the story is about the ADAIR family and there is a strong presence of almost all the family members in the story. So now, I just need to get my hands on book #1 Here With Me ASAP.

Thane and his two adorable munchkins are easy to love. Eilidh is the mischievous entertainer while Lewis is the serious and fierce brother. One couldn’t ask for anything more from this novel: a widowed handsome hunk with children and the forced proximity of a sexy nanny. The loss of their mother and the events in the first book had some effects on the children’s lives and Thane finds it difficult to trust his children to another person. In walks, Reagan wanting to stay on at the estate to mend the differences with her sister Robyn and finally be responsible for her actions. The slow-burning chemistry was sizzling between the leads and the author is simply exceptional in creating some beautiful and tender moments between them whilst playing the happy family. And naturally, the sex scenes causing all that increase in heartbeats and flaming cheeks. SIGH! There is also the angst and worry what with Thane having trust issues, and not wanting to clip young Reagan’s wings even before she flies but, of course, there’s only so much ignoring love and desire as much as a steamroller rolling down the hill.

The suspense and the tensions surrounding the issue of the stalker were not that acute as I had expected but the fact that Reagan uses her own skills to save herself was laudable. Scotland has never sounded so alluring, the author’s writing imbued with a sense of calm and serenity with the description of the beautiful locales. The trace of humor that runs thru the banter between Reagan and Thane was thoroughly enjoyable, Reagan having the knack of saying things that inadvertently cause laughter.

Adair family has left their mark on my heart and I would be immensely happy to read all the books in this series.

Swooning, mooning 4.5 stars

Many thanks to Valentine PR and Literary Management and the author for a chance to read and review this book. All opinions are expressed voluntarily.

For Regan Penhaligon, there’s no better place to run to than the exclusive Ardnoch Estate in the remote Scottish Highlands. Her impulsive behavior has finally caught up with her and Regan’s visit with her sister, Robyn, is an opportunity to hide from someone who has grown dangerously obsessed with her.

Determined to make amends for her mistakes, Regan plans to repair her relationship with Robyn by staying close. And when an offer of help comes from Thane Adair, Regan gratefully accepts.

Widower, Thane, needs a new nanny housekeeper for his two young children and when they bond with Regan Penhaligon, he offers her the job. But as the weeks pass and the complex American reveals who she really is, Thane struggles with his growing attraction to her.

Regan never expected to feel so intensely for Thane, but she can’t deny her passion for him or her love for his children. When someone from Thane’s past threatens his family, Regan wants to be his pillar of support. However, his continued inability to trust her might just destroy their chance at future happiness… and the person who drove Regan to Ardnoch might snuff out her chance for any future at all.
