My Rating

The Girl In the Photo is a short horror story by Bidisha Bhattacharyya. Interspersed with some chilling images, the author’s writing captures the reader’s interest efficiently. The plotline of a woman trying to settle into her new home and facing the danger of a spectral entity residing there is not a new plotline but coz it is a short story of 33 pages, it feels impactful. Almost all the scare tactics of ghosts that most of us are used to have been incorporated in the story though I liked the images in the story that makes our blood run cold.
Even though the story as such offers nothing new to the table, especially for someone who has gobbled up many a book in this genre, the author’s writing definitely has promise and I could imagine a full-fledged horror-thriller continuing in the same vein.
For those who would love to sample horror, this short story would satisfy your craving.
Many thanks to the author for the chance to read and review this book. All opinions are expressed voluntarily.

What was expected like a normal house to Lily, turned out to be something totally the opposite. It was totally unexpected for her. A nightmare? A mystery? And accompanied with eerie activities.
“The Girl In The Photo” is a short horror read which is suspenseful and scary and can take you on a thrilling ride through the pages.
